Rand Paul "Obama un-American"

If you don't know yet, in Ketucky a Republican primary overwhelmingly was won by Rand Paul. If his name sounds familiar, it is. He is the son of the former Republican presidential nominees candidate, Ron Paul. He said that Obama is un-American, and his reason for this is that Obama is too tough on BP. He said how he thinks "sometimes accidents happen." I think he needs to know how BP was not following  all the regulations, and that they should be held accountable. I don't think BP needs another pillow than the ones it was given by Bush. Rand Paul is trying to bring the coutry to what it was during the Bush White House reign. Where all the corporations are too comfortable with Washington Dc.
"I've heard nothing from BP about not paying for the spill," Paul continued. "I think it's part of this blame game society in the sense that it's always got to be someone's fault, instead of the fact that sometimes accidents happen."
Democrat Jack Conway, Paul's opponent in the Kentucky Senate race, released a statement Friday slamming Paul over his comments on BP.
"Rand Paul apparently has a deeply held conviction that corporations should be allowed to do what they see fit without oversight or accountability. He even goes so far as to say that that criticizing corporations when they hurt taxpayers and working families – as in the case of the massive BP oil disaster – is 'un-American,'" Conway said.

AND the Obama administration. Have you not wondered why they haven't been pushing BP to be more accountable sooner than now? This govt., as well as our own, are in the pockets of big oil.

  4. Penlan is right. Obama isn't progressive and he needs to appeal to both sides of his party. That's why there is probably going to be more "help" to BP to clean up. What the Obama administration should have done in the first place was clean the spill up, stop the leak and send BP the bill

  5. Owner and Doggy: No administration has the power to act outside of legal statute. Unless legislation allows this course of action, BP would have every right to refuse any "bill."
Even a declaration of war can only be done by following the rules. When governments flout specific legal formulas they put us on the path to autocratic rule.

Pelan i do think Obama needs to have a more aggressive relationship, but the point that i am making is that Rand Paul thinks Obama is too tough on BP
