The Quotas
Iraq had an election. What you may not know is that 25% of the seats in the Iraqi legislature is ministerially for women, and in the Indian Parliament a new bill has passed now reserving 33% of the legislature for women. I think this now puts an entirely new ethical question on not only affirmative action for regular jobs but a question whether it should should be in Parliament too. I do not believe in affirmative action an both cases, because I feel we will undermine women saying that the only reason that they are a MP or a Teacher is because they are women, and because they have too. I do not think this is what we need to do to create equality. I do think we should give women and other races, origin and religion a better opportunity's like equal pay and lowering the violence against them.
