Tar Sands Cartoon

I found yesterday's cartoon in the Star to be amusing but yet, so true. Harper is not only proud of the tar sands, but he presents them to be environmentally friendly. This is a lie. He also claims to have an "action plan" on the environment. This a half-truth: his plan is to say he is going to make small reductions in GHG emissions, and then, not to act on these promises. Canada has become ridiculed because of our obstruction at climate talks. This is not showing good leadership.
